Description

INTRODUCTION

This Medium Hardwood is known as Kapur (Dryobalanops spp/Dipterocarpaceae). The wood is reddish brown.

Also known as Kapur (Brunei); and Kamper, Kapur and Petanang (Indonesia).

USES

The timber is suitable for medium construction, posts, beams, joists, rafters, door and window frames and sills, fender supports, flooring, staircase (treads, stringers, round end and winder), pallets (heavy and permanent types) and column (light duty).
